Our Grounds

The Pond
Our beautiful pond is lined with tall majestic trees, inhabited by koi carp and the sound of two cascading mini-waterfalls is the perfect backdrop for your special day portraits and for your guests to explore.

The Manicured Gardens
Lovingly taken care of by our groundskeeper, the elegantly manicured gardens are perfect for your portraits, you’ll be surrounded by a variety of stunning trees, roses and lush greenery along with beautiful statues, romantic seating areas and our wishing well.

The Secret Garden
With an elegant entrance one can not help but gasp as they walk into the secret garden. Enchanting with its miniature apple trees and box hedges that lead you down the steps and into a tranquil setting perfect for an outdoor ceremony and/or a garden drinks reception with bubbles and canapés.

The Meadows
Our meadows are home to many species of butterflies, wildflowers and tall grasses and within the meadows you may come across some cherry blossom trees, fruit trees as well as a tennis court, a hot tub and a small lake. Yes we are full of surprises, in a good way!

Wild Walkways
Our wild walkways are a place you can take a romantic meander with your newly beloved basking in the pleasure of a stolen quiet moment together taking in your day as you walk arm in arm around the winding bends surrounded by nature.

The Terrace
Enjoy the moon rising as you gather around the fire pit with your loved ones. With bubbles in hand and magic in the air, our mediterranean-style Terrace is a beautiful setting to enjoy drinks and perhaps even a late night bite to eat with home-grown food harvested from our kitchen garden to create the yummiest sourdough pizzas made in our glorious wood-fired oven.
Your Ceremony

For an al fresco ceremony, the Secret Garden, with its mature trees and flowering plants will provide a beautiful background or the meadow is the perfect spot for a marquee for larger weddings of 100 people and more.

The Converted Barn-Studio can accommodate up to 80 people. Its light-filled high vault ceilings with underfloor heating and sliding glass double doors open onto a small terrace and set the perfect scene for your service.

Traditional church ceremonies are available in the beautiful village church, St Andrews, which is a short walk through Wickhambreaux village from the estate. The attractive flint and stone church (Grade I) was built during the 13th century. It was further modified in the 16th century. The church was restored in 1868. The stunning Art Nouveau stained glass east window of the Annunciation dates from 1896. Perfect for a romantic church wedding.
Canapes & Dining
Our suppliers come highly recommended and offer a range of dining options between them. Their wealth of experience will ensure you and your guests have a wonderful culinary experience on your wedding day. If you prefer to go with your own caterers we offer this option at no extra charge. The Quaives team can also provide a breakfast service on the morning of the special day and the day after and sourdough pizzas cooked fresh from our wood-fired oven as a late night feast on the wedding day.
Minno Kitchen
Here at Minno Kitchen our food really suits a feasting style of meal, it is made to share, served on big platters & in big bowls - we love global, fresh & vibrant flavours that are wholesome, comforting & give a nod to the season. In short, our food is soul food! The dishes showcase lots of local produce & we support local suppliers & artisan producers that are based in our home town of Whitstable & the beautiful county of Kent.
Food, I know is one of the biggest thoughts for your day & so I like to work really closely with couples to make sure you get exactly what you had in mind, the dishes & flavours you love presented in a way that will bring beauty to the table & happiness to all eating it.
The Foreign Embassy
Lorenzo, Dave and Jo are a group of eaters, feeders and feasters, living in beautiful Ramsgate. Lorenzo has created conceptual food events for The House of Peroni, Gucci and Harvey Nichols, to name a few. He ran his own restaurant in London and is handy with a screwdriver. Dave has worked as a chef at Michelin-starred Mirabelle and AA Rosette restaurants such as The Princess of Shoreditch, as well as having a successful run of supper clubs at Windy Corner Stores in Whitstable. He’s tall enough to reach all the things the other two can’t. Jo is a creative director, writer, chief table decorator and kitchen guinea pig. She makes a mean aioli and has been renamed ‘The Pavlova Queen’. Together they form the perfect team to bring you a memorable wedding breakfast feast!
